Pledge Drive Volunteer

At this point in the development of KZYX, 50% of the annual budget is still derived from listeners during three annual fundraising drives.

If you have listened during our fundraising drives, you can imagine the enormous effort that goes into coordinating these 7 to 10 day long marathon events. We always need people to answer phones, pre-drive phone volunteer scheduling, people to pick up lunch, and post drive wrap-up. This effort takes over 150 volunteers who give anywhere from 3 hours to a full day of their time to help the drives run smoothly. Volunteers usually find it fun to meet other listeners and their favorite programmers, and love the opportunity to see KZYX operations from the behind the scenes.

About a month before pledge drive we start calling for volunteers. If we don’t call you, please call us. One three hour phone shift earns you a membership for the entire year.
