Humble Pie

Saturdays, 9:00am to 11:00am

Humble Pie is one of KZYX's longest running programs, debuting soon after the station went on the air in 1989. Hosted by Jimmy Humble, the music centers around American Roots music, including singer-songwriters, instrumentalists performing and often reinterpreting classic American tunes, and new music clearly inspired and/or influenced by some of the great names in the American songbook. In addition, Jimmy includes a recipe section, where the ingredients are examples of the earliest recordings in the genre. Presented by a host well-versed in the musical styles included within American music, including Country, Bluegrass, Hillbilly, Western, Swing, Rock-a-billy, and the larger label of Americana, many listeners tune in to Humble Pie each Saturday morning for a relaxing and delightful start to the weekend.

Anyone who was unfortunate enough NOT to hear the terrific singer-songwriter Jeremy James Meyer singin' and strummin' live on Humble Pie this morning (15 July) can hear the show again in the KZYX Jukebox archive at http://jukebox.kzyx.org.

Better yet, you can also catch Jeremy live "with special guests" at Lauren's in Boonville tonight (Saturday 15 July) from 9-11 p.m.

He's an amazing and talented local-ish boy. Have a listen!
