Redwood Wildfire Recovery At 3 Months, Wednesday 7PM On KZYX Mendocino Works

Tammy Moss Chandler, who is leading up Mendocino County's short and long-term fire recovery activities as Disaster Recovery Director, and Megan Barber Allende, president of the Community Foundation of Mendocino County, will be guests on the KZYX public affairs program Mendocino Works on Wednesday 10 January at 7 p.m. to review our community's recovery to date in the three months since the devastating Redwood Complex Fire. We'll be taking listener calls.

It's been three months since an epic firestorm whipped by hot, dry Diablo winds tore an east-to-west path of death and destruction through Potter Valley, Redwood Valley and into the outskirts of Willits and Ukiah, a cataclysm repeated in Lake, Sonoma and Napa counties and collectively dubbed the North Bay Wildfires. Across the region, local nonprofits joined hands with local and state government to provide immediate relief to thousands who lost everything, and Mendocino county has been no exception to this remarkable mobilization. In this program we'll review the progress of the recovery effort to date, and look at what survivors and the supporting community can expect in coming weeks, months and years.

Join us for this hourlong discussion on Wednesday 10 January at 7 p.m., on Mendocino Works.
