Mendocino, Lake Counties To Open Local Assistance Centers On Tuesday

Mendocino County and Lake County both will open Local Assistance Centers on Tuesday, October 17, to serve all individuals, families, and business affected by the Redwood and Sulphur fires.

The Mendocino Local Assistance Center will be at Mendocino Community College in Ukiah, in the gymnasium, 1000 Hensley Creek Road at the north end of Ukiah. For more information, visit www.mendocinocounty.org/fireinfo or call 707-467-6428.

The Lake County Local Assistance Center will open at the Clearlake Senior Community Center, at 3245 Bowers Ave, Clearlake, running daily 11am-7pm. For information, call Clearlake City Hall, at 707-994-8201.

Visit these centers if you need assistance with food, clothing, temporary housing, or medical appointments. You can apply for replacement of vital records or a new driver's license.

The centers will include local, state, and federal agencies coordinating support for building, employment, public health, as well as non-profit agencies, counseling services, and other support services.
