Latest On Mendocino/Lake Complex Fire

Calfire reported Tuesday night the Mendocino/ Lake Complex fire is 28,500 acres. 250 single family residences destroyed and 800 structures are threatened. The Redwood Fire is 26,000 acres and 5 percent contained. The Sulphur Fire is 2,500 acres and 30 percent contained. 

Fire crews are anticipating increased weather activity, with an expectation that gusty winds will return Wednesday.

For the Redwood Fire there is an advisory evacuation from the intersection of East Hill Road at Ridgewood Rd to Baechtel Rd; Baechtel Rd to Main Street at Brown's Corner; from intersection of Main Street and Southbound 101 to Howard Forest; East Hill Road and Ridgewood Road south to Howard Forest.

Evacuation centers are located at: Ukiah High School, Willits High School, and at the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians 3000 Shanel Rd.,in Hopland.

Road closures at: Tomki Rd. at Canyon; East Hill at East Side; Van Aresdale South of Eel River bridge; North State St at Laughlin Way; North State Street at West Rd; East Rd at School Way.

For the Sulfur Fire: Mandatory evacuation orders have been lifted for parts of Clearlake. Advisory evacuations are in effect for Communities in and around South Middletown.

Road closures: Lake Shore Dr at Country Club Dr; San Joaquin Ave at Arrowhead; Sulphur Bank Dr at 17th St; and Sulphur Rd at Hwy 20.
