Coastal Community Fights To Protect Beloved Bridge

New York Times
Albion River Bridge
Caltrans has plans to replace the Albion River Bridge located on the scenic coastline in Mendocino County. It is on the Register of Historic Places and it is the last timber trestle bridge on California’s Highway 1. Many coastal residents are fighting the proposal and are working instead to preserve and restore the bridge.

Caltrans is hosting an informational meeting on the Albion River Bridge proposal to remove it Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Albion Elementary school from 6 to 7:30 pm.
