Architect Offers Affordable Home Plans To Fire Victims On KZYX Renewable Energy Hour

On Monday 30 October, KZYX Renewable Energy Hour hosts Doug Livingston and Jeff Oldham brought back renowned green architect David Arkin to discuss rebuilding after Northern California's devastating wildfires. David's firm, Arkin/Tilt, is offering several home plans, including engineering, for free to fire victims. The firm has designed an affordable straw bale hybrid home that has a two-hour fire rating.

Arkin/Tilt recently announced that nearly all of its projects located in or near the fire zone in Mendocino, Lake, Sonoma and Napa counties had survived, including two strawbale projects that were directly in the line of fire.
