Another suspect has been arrested in the murder of 57 year-old Jamie Shipman of Caspar.
Mendocino County Sheriff's detectives gathered enough evidence to arrest 20 year-old Alexander Coan, the son of the first suspect, Kelley Coan, on Saturday May 27 in Comtche in Mendocino County. He is being held in the county jail under $500,000 bail.
Neighbors heard gunshots on May 23, the day Shipman was found dead in her home on the same chunk of property where the mother and son lived - who are now both being held for murder.
Kelley Coan had allegedly been upset with Shipman over a property dispute the day Shipman was killed. Kelley Coan surrendered in San Joaquin County Wednesday of last week. The homicide case will be prosecuted by the Mendocino County District Attorney's Office.
