Jason Morash


Jason is the newest member of the KZYX news team. He's quickly made a great impression as he has been keep the community updated on road conditions during our recent storms.

Another person was arrested in relation to the case of a Ukiah man suspected of molesting multiple children.

According to a release from the Ukiah Police Department,  30-year-old Shannon Barajas was arrested on June 4th in suspicion of threatening a witness attached to the investigation of her husband, Jaime Barajas.

She was booked into the county jail and her bail was set at $25,000.

Meanwhile, her husband remains in custody with bail set at $1.4 millon. He is charged with molesting a 14-year-old and other unknown victims over an unspecified period of time.

 In the face of risking federal funding and the mayor's intent to delay the discussion to a later meeting, the Willits City Council narrowly approved a resolution Wednesday which declares the city's support for local immigrants.


The 3-2 decision came after a lengthy debate over the wording of the sixth paragraph in the document, which declares the Willits Police Department will continue to not enforce federal immigration laws except for matters of violent crime and officer safety.
