Breaking News: "Black Fire" in Redwood Valley Black Bart Area

Sunday 8:30 AM update: 150 acres, 30% contained.

Reverse 9-1-1 calls went out to residents to evacuate from Hell's Delight Canyon and Northeast towards Potter Valley.  Shelter for those displaced at Eagle Peak Middle School, 8601 West Road, Redwood Valley.

If you have threatened animals: Parducci Wine Cellars has two 4 acre paddocks available to anyone evacuating large animals. Lake Mendocino drive exit on Tollini lane. Contact Tim via call or text if you need a space to evacuate animals at (707) 272-1083.

The Black Fire fire broke out Saturday afternoon between Black Bart Trail and Potter Valley.  According to the UDJ, "As of 8 p.m. Saturday, seven houses have been lost, and more continue to be threatened, according to Mendocino County Sheriff Tom Allman."
