Tonight on Maps & Legends: "Brilliant Mistake"
Elvis Costello sang, "It was a fine idea at the time/Now it's a brilliant mistake." In a sense all mistakes are brilliant in that they crack our world open and present new opportunities. It's when the unexpected happens that real creativity can occur. This evening's show is dedicated to people everywhere who express themselves in spite of their mistakes and because of them. We'll open and close with music from Elvis Costello and along the way will hear nineties girl-punk from Throwing Muses and Liz Phair, sweet soul from Diana Ross and Marvin Gaye, straight-ahead rock from the Rolling Stones, and much more.
Listeners are also invited to go to the Facebook page, Maps & Legends Radio, and post about their own brilliant mistakes.
