What other topic could there be tonight, folks? I'm so happy for the rain I've gathered almost two hours' of songs that unite precipitation with celebration, from Bessie Smith through to Queens of the Stone Age. You may not know that Jimi Hendrix did two little-known but excellent songs about rain (well, he was from Seattle), including one where his soul-igniting guitar vies playfully with a saxophone. Since we are still in a drought, we'll end with a song from the Guess Who reminding us to "Share the Land."
