Mary Aigner's Departure

Mary Aigner, Program Director for KZYX&Z, recently announced that she has decided it is time, after 22 years, to hand over the reins. She has some interesting opportunities that she wishes to explore, though she will continue to be involved with the radio station, including hosting her "Dead Air" program. As she told the volunteer programmers and her friends:

"It's been a great pleasure and an honor to work here, and I can't think of a more interesting or gratifying place to work. I'm constantly amazed by your talent, passion, and commitment to the cause of creating the best community radio we can, in service of the people of Mendocino County."

We wish Mary great success in her future endeavors. We will miss her.

The report I prepare for every Board of Directors meeting is now available for you to read.  The next Board meeting is October 7 at Anderson valley High School in Boonville.  This report was prepared for that meeting.

Follow this link to the report.

There are times when some people say that I am not sufficiently "transparent."  In response I say that every report I have written since I took this job in 2008 is here for you to read along with every budget and every audit and the minutes of all Board meetings.  At times when I or other staff or Board members have been on the air discussing station business, it is impossible to anticipate every item that every listener wants to know.  So, before deciding that something is being hidden from you, please read what is available.  If, after reading them, there is something you want to know or wish clarified it is a simple matter to write to me or phone and simply ask.  If I can tell you, I will.  If it is a personnel matter or something that cannot be disclosed, then I can't.  But again, if I can tell you, I will.  707-895-2324 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
