Following a major disaster, first responders will not be able to meet the demand for fire and medical services. People will have to rely on each other for help in order to meet their immediate life saving needs. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates people about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills. Please join us to learn how we can be better prepared and to find comfort int he resource of community. Mike Carter is a retires Marine of 26 years and is on the National Guard. He also served in the LAPD for 21 years. He has been a first responder in 4 earthquakes, 3 major fires, a supertanker explosion and a major flood.
